In reply to a letter from Elizabeth dated October 14. Contains news from Edmondes, the English ambassador in Paris, of the Marquess of Mirabel, the Spanish ambassador; on the illness of the "old" Duchess of Longueville; as well as procedural difficulties as ambassador including being instructed to speak only in English through a translator and not to yield precedence to Cardinal Richelieu.
